Princess Kate’s Surgery Recovery and King Charles’s Hospital Visits

The news came as a shock to many when on the 17th of January, Kensington Palace made an announcement stating that Princess Kate had undergone planned abdominal surgery at the London Clinic. “The surgery was successful,” stated the announcement, “and it is anticipated that she will remain in the hospital for 10 to 14 days.”

While no official reason was provided, speculation arose regarding the extent of pre-planning involved, particularly considering the postponement of her upcoming engagements. With Kate, unlikely to resume her royal duties until after Easter, some questioned the severity of the situation, given the secrecy surrounding it. An insider exclusively informed Life & Style, “The whole thing’s been kept so hush-hush that it could be more serious than they’re letting on. But if anyone can bounce back quickly, it’s Kate.”

As she recuperates, the Princess of Wales can rely on the support of her husband, Prince William. “As any husband would be, he was very worried about complications,” confessed the insider, noting that the future king has canceled his appearances following Kate’s hospitalisation.

The day following her surgery, Prince William, her husband, paid a visit to Princess Kate at the hospital. However, their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—have yet to see their mother, as they have been attending school, a source informed Cosmopolitan.

While physical visits from her children are pending, Princess Kate was recently visited by her father-in-law, King Charles. His Royal Highness visited on Friday, January 25, before his medical procedure for the treatment of an enlarged prostate. Accompanied by Queen Camilla, King Charles was pictured arriving at the London Clinic, the same hospital where Princess Kate underwent her abdominal surgery, according to the publication. Buckingham Palace affirmed that King Charles had been admitted to a London hospital for “scheduled treatment” in a statement released on Friday.
