The Punjab government has officially announced the winter break schedule for schools across the province. Students and staff can look forward to a well-deserved 20-day holiday, starting from December 20, 2024, and ending on January 10, 2025.
A Balanced Approach to Education
Secretary Khalid Nazir Wattoo highlighted the importance of maintaining a balanced academic calendar. To ensure uniformity, the same winter break dates will apply to both public and private schools in Punjab.
Encouraging Mindful Breaks
While the winter break offers a much-needed respite from the daily school routine, parents are encouraged to limit screen time and promote activities that stimulate learning and development. Reading books, engaging in creative hobbies, and exploring educational resources can help students make the most of their time off.
Back to School
Regular classes will resume on January 11, 2025. Teachers are advised to use this period to review the curriculum, prepare students for upcoming exams, and provide guidance on assignments.
This winter break presents an excellent opportunity for students, parents, and educators to relax, rejuvenate, and return to school refreshed and ready to embrace the challenges of the new year.
