On May 22, 2025, his private jet, a 1985 Cessna Citation II, departed from Teterboro, New Jersey, making a refueling stop in Wichita, Kansas. However, during its final approach, around 3:45 a.m. local time, tragedy struck. The aircraft reportedly hit power lines before crashing into a residential neighborhood in Murphy Canyon. The impact was devastating; one home was destroyed, and ten others were damaged.
