Pakistan Engineering Council to Create Pool of Local and International Engineering Experts

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has announced plans to create an expert pool of engineering professionals comprising both local and international engineers.

The initiative aims to tap into the expertise of qualified engineers to accelerate growth in Pakistan’s engineering sectors and address critical socio-economic challenges. Established in 1976, the PEC continues to lead the advancement of the engineering profession in the country.

The expert pool is intended to bring together experienced engineers from diverse disciplines to contribute to Pakistan’s professional and socio-economic development. This includes the exchange of workable ideas, the enhancement of skills, and the fostering of productive partnerships.

How the Pool Will Benefit Pakistan

“This initiative will connect top-tier engineering minds, enabling collaborative efforts to tackle Pakistan’s infrastructure and technological challenges,” said PEC Chairman Engr Waseem Nazir.

The program welcomes contributions from expatriate Pakistani engineers who possess specialized expertise. Their involvement is expected to provide valuable insights into global engineering practices and strengthen Pakistan’s domestic capabilities. “The role of expatriates is vital in bridging knowledge gaps and helping us align with international standards,” Engr Waseem Nazir remarked.

Through this initiative, PEC aims to drive innovation and excellence within the engineering profession while addressing pressing challenges like infrastructure development, sustainability, and technological advancement. The Council envisions the expert pool as a transformative force for the engineering community and the nation. “Our collective efforts can reshape Pakistan’s engineering sector in regional as well global environs,” emphasized the Chairman.

According to the PEC, qualified professionals are encouraged to join the PEC’s expert pool through an online registration process here.
