KIA Closes Four Dealerships in Pakistan Amid Tough Times

Car companies have been facing tough times lately, with sales and earnings getting hurt by rising prices and slower production. To cope with the challenges, many are making tough decisions, like reducing their operations to cut costs and stay afloat.

Recently, there was news that Lucky Motor Corporation Limited (LMCL) has sadly decided to close down four of its dealerships all over Pakistan. The official announcement didn’t really explain why this was happening.

Here are the dealerships that have been closed:

  • KIA Motors Hanna Lake, Quetta
  • KIA Motors Chenab, Gujrat
  • KIA Motors Avenue, Dera Ghazi Khan
  • KIA Motors Gateway, Mardan

KIA, which used to be a significant player in the market until around 2022, has been facing a tough time lately due to economic problems. It was once among the big names in the car business in Pakistan, but now it’s struggling to sell even a few cars.

While there was a tiny bit of improvement in sales in June, it’s not really enough to change the situation. It’s quite sad to see this happening, especially because all car companies in Pakistan are going through such a hard time due to the current situation.
